KGC_RPCL_5-0_XAMPP_Installer_Setup.exe (1.8Meg to 126Meg) allows users to select the installable features.

Confirm settings before installing
Click the
Next button
Downloading and Installing from 7zip archives
Click the
Next button to begin download followed by unpacking of downloaded 7zip files.
The InstallAware Internet download of 7zip archives from KitchenPages.com has a try again/resume function.
Drop-out's for dialup users may occur due to size of 7zip archives;
A
firewall may prompt request user permission before downloading.
This InstallAware setup will try to resume where it stopped downloading, before restarting download again.
The InstallAware 2012 setup uses windows
Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) to setup and manage unpacked 7zip archives
The InstallAware setup finish dialog will be displayed
Click the
Finish button to exit. Any installed programs that need to be run should be active;
Users may continue and close the InstallAware setup without affecting other setups.
After setup; The InstallAware updater for KitCAD i3 KGC, and KitCAD i3 KGC r3, KitCAD i3 KGC r5 and KitCAD i3 KGC r50 with 2014 updates:-

The 7zip archive files downloaded by the InstallAware installer are catched
by default and using the Operating system Web Browser settings; No archive encryption is enabled.
The 7zip archive files may/will be catched at
%USERPROFILE%\Temporary Internet Files\
with the 8.3 mime type extension naming of
.7zip
Clearing the default Operating system Web Browser {Internet Explorer} will allow downloading of the latest release [
Instructions].
NOTE : files in the
C:\Program Files\Kitchen\KGC; RPCL 5.0; XAMPP\
folder can be deleted, if needed users can repair using InstallAware.
IMPORTANT : files must be installed in the following order;
- 1) xampp-win32-1.8.2-5-VC9-installer.exe (skip if XAMPP 1.8.3 or above is pre-installed)
- 2) KGC_RPCL_3-5_XAMPP_Setup.exe
- 3) KGC_RPCL_5-0_XAMPP_Upgrade_Setup.exe
- 4) KGC_RPCL_3-5_5-0_XAMPP_Upgrade_Setup_2014.exe
- 5) KGC_RPCL_3-5_5-0_XAMPP_Upgrade_Setup_2014_pt2.exe [link] (Not included in download, install if available)
- 6) KGC_RPCL_3-5_5-0_XAMPP_Upgrade_Setup_2017_pt1.zip [link] (Not included in download, install if available)

After setup; The uninstaller for XAMPP 1.8.2 can be located within Add/Remove Programs of the Windows Control Panel.
NOTE : XAMPP is not meant for production use but only for developers in a development environment.
The way XAMPP is configured is to be open as possible and allowing the developer anything he/she wants.
Do
NOT use to host or provide a public Internet service/s without correcting Security configeration and issues.
XAMPP Security settings/weaknesses

Visual C++ 2008 SP1 v9 notes
If
XAMPP 1.8.3 or above is installed then skip the install of Visual C++ 2008 SP1 v9.
The user must Install this - only if needed; The InstallAware setup does not run the vcredist_x86.exe installer.
For Administrators on Older systems (XP/2003 and before) if PHP will not run - then a check to see if the system has Visual C++ 2008 SP1 v9 installed is required; As follows:
From the Windows Desktop; Start button | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
Check that the Installed Programs listing does not have the following:-
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.21022
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.6161
Should the system need Visual C++ 2008 SP1 v9 support or an upgrade from betas then perform the following steps:
1) Read the Visual C++ 2008 instructions at
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582 before use.
2) re-run the KGC_RPCL_3-5_XAMPP_Installer_Setup.exe InstallAware setup, and select
Maintenance
3) Select to Install the Feature of
vcredist_x86.exe
4) Complete the InstallAware mainetance setup
After setup; The Installer for Visual C++ 2008 SP1 v9 can be run from the Windows Desktop | Start | Programs | KGC; RPCL 5.0; XAMPP

Starting XAMPP and the Apache web server
From the Windows Desktop; Start button | All Programs | XAMPP for Windows | click the
XAMPP Control Panel icon.
The
XAMPP Control Panel Application will be shown (as image below shows).
Click the
first Start button to run the Apache Web Server
The
Windows Firewall dialog MAY be displayed
If shown - Select and Enable
PRIVATE NETWORKS, deselect
PUBLIC NETWORKS, and Click the
Allow access button (as image above shows)
The XAMPP Control Panel Application will show the running status of Apache (as image below shows)
Users can minimize the XAMPP Control Panel to the windows Tray, or Quit the Application and restart later.
NOTE:
The Apache Web Server will continue to run unless stopped
Running KitCAD i3 KGC XAMPP
KitCAD i3 KGC XAMPP (localhost - WebServer Example), and KitCADi3ie5.exe

To Update this version of KitCAD i3 KGC (localhost - WebServer Example); users will need to perform the following:
1) Start XAMPP Control Panel, then start Apache Web Server [

3) Click the
WebServer Example (local Webserver) link; Or open web page of
http://localhost/library/i3/Index.html
4) Click the
upgrade link shown on the
WebServer Example (local Webserver) index page.

If needed, download and unzip a upgraded version from
KitCADi3_xampp_localhost.zip [
Instructions]
NOTE : Users of the TEST Setup KitCAD i3 version may find that
KitCAD i3 is no longer showing the splash screen link for XAMPP served pages.
Re-Installing the TEST Setup version of KitCAD i3 will correct this issue.

suggested Web Browser for end users is an up-to-date version of
Google Chrome.

NOTE : To enable WebGL X3DOM support with Firefox Web Browsers {
before version 34.0}, users will need to make configuration changes by using the URL address of
about:config and changing the setting of
webgl.force-enabled to be
true.
For users that can not view WebGL or X3DOM content, there are Options to use the VRML97 markup language for viewing WRL files instead.
To view the optional VRML97 WRL content for viewing a plug-in or player may be required. Users must select the KitCAD i3 KGC r5
Options to create VRML97 files before rendering.
